This is a non commercial part of Edinburgh-Places and as such it should only mention places that are free to enter. Unfortunately everything costs money these days so we have tried to list the places within the Edinburgh boundaries that are either interesting, lovely, historical or a combination.

We are starting our page with the Royal Mile. This is the most famous part of Edinburgh and therefore the easiest for us to put information together. We will not just have information on the Royal Mile but we are trying to act on lots of things at the one time.
Hopefully this will develop into a really useful reference page but it will take time. Please be patient but feel free to send us word of encouragement.
